Lindsay's Notes
Frozen chicken wontons are a common meal addition, but they can be boring when served as a meal add-on. A new method involves steaming them with a spicy sauce that combines dipping sauce and soup broth. This luscious, dippable, scoopable, and slurpable dish is full of umami from shiitake mushrooms and greens, with sesame oil providing depth and chili oil adding heat. This full meal is one of the author's favorites. Although their girls can't handle the spiciness, they enjoy the dish plain or dipped in teriyaki sauce. The author and Bjork enjoy the spicy broth sauce, while their bowls are filled with the last lick of the sauce.
